ACAP represented by Mick Davis (Treasurer), Mick Lazell (Director), and Ray Bange (Policy Consultant) met with Mr Neil Roberts, Minister for Police, Corrective Services, and Emergency Services (Qld) in Brisbane on 21 July 2010. Also at this meeting was the Commissioner of the Queensland Ambulance Service, Mr David Melville.

The discussions focused on the current state of registration for paramedics within Australia, the potential for growing the role of the paramedic as a registered practitioner in the current health reform agenda, the opportunities that existed to increase public protection and accountability, and the integration of paramedicine into the chain of care with other accredited and registered practitioners.
