Emergency Service Providers and Blood Borne Viruses is a new resource providing specific information about Blood Borne Viruses (BBV’s) in the context of emergency service work and addressing the key concepts:
- Prevention, infection control and standard precautions in an emergency setting
- Potential BBV exposure management
- Rights and obligations
Developed by lead agency Australasian Society for HIV Medicine (ASHM); Paramedics Australasia has supported this project with representation on the working group and endorsement of the package.
