Robyn Smith has been appointed to the role of Executive Officer of Paramedics Australasia.

A not-for-profit management professional, Robyn has over 20 years experience in managing national and Australasian membership organisations as well as undertaking senior contract roles in state and federal government. She has previously led organisations representing health services; cemeteries and crematoria; spa and well being; nuclear medicine; and building industry services.

During her involvement with managing the peak bodies for Australasian cemeteries, crematoria and funeral management, Robyn was appointed to a three year role as Chair of the Victorian Funeral Industry Ministerial Advisory Council. The Council’s charter was to implement the first Funerals Act and associated regulations in Victoria, becoming a benchmark for national regulation.

In addition, she has recently worked with a significant Australasian health profession included in the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme, managing the implementation of national registration and guiding member practitioners through the process. As PA continues to pursue national registration for paramedics, Robyn looks forward to supporting our organisation and members through the challenges and processes ahead.

Robyn is excited and honoured to be working for PA, the peak professional body supporting paramedics in Australasia as we move into the next phase for PA with focus on the Board’s Strategic Plan for 2014-2018.

PA’s new Executive Officer Robyn Smith is based in Victoria, and commences in a part time capacity from mid March, moving into a full time role over the next month or so. She looks forward to working with the Board, Chapters, SIGs and members in the coming months.
