The Journal of Emergency Primary Health Care (JEPHC) is the official peer reviewed journal of Paramedics Australasia Ltd. It seeks to advance and promote the science and the art of prehospital care research, education, clinical practice, policy and service delivery; and, provide a forum to reflect the professional interests of the multidisciplinary emergency primary health care community.

Paramedics Australasia seeks an editor who can advance its scientific and international reputation while maintaining its relevance to practitioners of emergency primary health care worldwide.

The Editor is responsible to Paramedics Australasia Ltd., and the JEPHC management team for all aspects of the timely production and publication of this international peer-reviewed quarterly journal. The Editor works closely with the editorial assistant to maintain the scientific standards of the journal in conjunction with up to five Associate Editors.

Applications from practitioners in any area of emergency primary health care are invited. Applications from outside Australia are encouraged and joint applications from two or more individuals willing to act as a team are welcomed. The ideal candidate will be a member of PA and have extensive emergency primary health care experience. Candidates are expected to have considerable experience in writing, editing, manuscript review of scientific articles for publication, and in aspects of journal production. Postgraduate qualification is essential and academic affiliation is an advantage.

Whilst the journal has been in recess for a period of time the foundation Editor will work with the successful applicant to affect a smooth transition. Whilst a related EOI process is being undertaken for Associate Editors, the successful applicant(s) will be free to select their own team of associate editors and editorial board members.
