PA’s Mental Health and Wellbeing SIG member, Dr Elizabeth Asbury, is leading IPAWS.
The International Paramedic Anxiety Wellbeing and Stress study is the first multi-centre, international study of paramedic mental health and wellbeing ever undertaken. IPAWS will follow paramedic students who graduate from tertiary education in the 2017-18 academic year for five years in order to explore how their experiences shape paramedic health and wellbeing. Many colleges, polytechnics and universities from around the world are taking part in IPAWS. Some graduates will be completing their education with a diploma, others with a degree, depending on the gold-standard in any particular country.
