The Reader’s Digest has announced the Most Trusted Professions for 2011, and Paramedics have topped the list for the eighth year running.

As the national professional body for practitioners, Paramedics Australasia attended a presentation ceremony  in Sydney on 20th July and was represented by Suzie Davies and Board Director John Hall.

In accepting the award on behalf of all paramedics, Suzie and John acknowledged the trust placed in the profession by the public and the resulting responsibility placed on paramedics to provide the best possible health care to people in their most vulnerable and stressful hours.

In their article on most trusted People, Brands and Professions, the Reader’s Digest observed that; “Trust is the bedrock of our personal relationships”  This notion of trust underpins the professional practice of all paramedics.
