PA Member, Grant Perry from Tasmania has been recognised for his work by being awarded the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED) Australasian Dispatcher of the year.
The Academy is a non-profit standard-setting organisation promoting safe and effective emergency dispatch services world-wide. Comprised of three allied Academies for medical, fire and police dispatching, the IAED supports first-responder related research, unified protocol application, legislation for emergency call centre regulation, and strengthening the emergency dispatch community through education, certification, and accreditation. There are over 60,000 people worldwide who have received training from the Academy over the last 35 years.
The Dispatcher of the Year award identifies and recognises emergency call centre staff who have made significant contributions to the values and mission of the Academy through personal action.
PA would like to congratulate Grant on his award and his continuing work with Ambulance Tasmania.
