From a strong field of candidates, Sharon was nominated by the PA Committee of Management (Chapters and SPA) to fill a vacancy left following the resignation of Director Richard Larsen. Sharon’s term runs until the AGM in October this year. Sharon was the inaugural Chair of Paramedics Australasia NZ and has been instrumental in building PANZ from day one. As one of the few New Zealand members of PA before PANZ even existed, Sharon has long understood the importance of a professional body for paramedicine and the necessity for international representation and communication throughout the profession. In addition, she is co-chair of the organising committee for PAIC 2016 to be held in Auckland.
Sharon joins fellow New Zealander Bronwyn Tunnage on the PA Board of Directors enabling strong engagement with the growing and very active New Zealand PA Chapter.
