This morning Paramedics Australasia New Zealand Chair Sean Thompson met with the New Zealand Labour Party spokesperson for Health and Opposition Deputy, Hon. Annette King.
In a very productive half hour meeting they discussed paramedic registration, double crewing, funding for ambulance services, the role of paramedics in primary health care, the changing scope of paramedic practice, professional responsibility, incident reporting, and more.
Annette King re-stated her strong support for registration. She stressed her belief that paramedics must have a more visible and acknowledged role in New Zealand’s health system.
Paramedics Australasia NZ is proud to continue to promote paramedic issues on behalf of New Zealand paramedics.
