A PA funded Research Grant of $5,000 has been awarded to PA Member Heather Mumme, PhD Candidate from James Cook University.

Heather’s project will focus on Staff Turnover of Remote Queensland Paramedics: Perceptions and Impacts.

The aim of the research is to describe and analyse the perceptions of key community individuals, health professionals, QAS managers, and paramedics in four remote communities in Queensland in terms of paramedic turnover, retention and effect on communities.   The Board has great expectations this research will provide significant contribution to knowledge in this area.
