Paramedics Australasia supported the AVOID trial with financial assistance. This study found that supplemental oxygen therapy in patients with STEMI but without hypoxia may increase early myocardial injury and was associated with larger myocardial infarct size assessed at six months. This is a pivotal piece of research which PA is proud to have supported on behalf of its members.
